2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing snowboard, January 11, 2010

The board is the perfect length for a younger child (mine is age 9) and the graphics on the board are pretty cool but............the boot straps on the board stick out the back side so that they drag when attempting to go down a snowy hill. It doesn't work at all because of this and I am super disappointed and will be forced to buy a second one that he can actually use from a local store.

I went into this purchase knowing that I would have to make modifications to this snowboard. All of the other comments are correct: the straps don't stay in and it doesn't slide well because the slots on the bottom where the "adjustable" straps fit in collect snow: so there you sit or down you go. That said I still think if you're handy with repairs it can be a usable product. My initial idea of silicone sealer in the slots didn't pan out but I have a few other ideas to try yet and thankfully for me it hasn't really snowed here yet. So for the way it's going to be used (backyard fun) I still think it was a good deal not just a great design. I'd rather be in for some home grown engineering (plus the cost of the board) than out hundreds for a board that will get used for maybe a year or two (and a couple of months each year at best). 1.0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment, January 17, 2012

We've had other snowboards, some that we paid less for, and another by this brand that we paid considerably more for. The other reviews are spot on, the bindings stick out the bottom of the board, and catch on the snow. Quite frankly, it's dangerous. We thought after a little use it would get better, but after watching one of my children pitch headfirst when the board caught, this thing can't be returned fast enough. We even tried modifying the bottom with a slick tape so the binding couldn't poke through - this thing just can't be helped. It doesn't deserve the one star I was required to give to it.
